As well as being readers, watchers, and general geeks, we know some of our members also create science fiction and fantasy. In this update, we highlight some of the aspects of LexiCon that might be of particular interest to writers.

We have just two months to go until the convention! We don’t quite know where the time has gone, but we’re putting together final touches on the programme and working hard (in a completely calm and not at all panicked manner) on sorting out all the other details that go together to make a convention happen, and we’re really excited to see you all soon.

Ghost of Honour announced
Orville the rat will be our In Memoriam Guest of Honour. He is best known for appearing in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy.
Fan GoH announced
John Toon, a dedicated contributor to the New Zealand fan community and a familiar face at local conventions, is confirmed as the Fan Guest of Honour at LexiCon.
